Lillian Kerinaiua joined Ngaruwanajirri Art Centre, in 1994 and her work has featured in most of the major exhibitions since then. Her main preference is for painting with watercolour or natural ochres on paper, and painting with natural ochres on canvas. She is adept in all the art forms including waxed designs on silk scarves. Lillian`s paintings are part of the collections of the Family Court, Melbourne, Parliament House Canberra, Batchelor College, Charles Darwin University Art Collection, National Gallery of Victoria and the Art Gallery of South Australia. Lillian enjoys hunting in the bush and collecting shellfish to cook over the fire. .Her paintings are highly original sometimes in a lengthy process needed to complete very fine lines and dots made using a fine grass stem as the implement.
She is a devoted fan of Australian Rules football.
